Swimming

Summer dreams are made of secret swimming holes, mountain streams and rippling lakes. During the hot summer months, the local natural swimming spots are the place to be.

Swim in nature:

Nothing beats a swim in one of the sparkling rivers and fresh lakes that snake through the High Country landscape. Luckily water is never far away with plenty of swimming holes hidden in the valleys that surround town.

The Delatite River is a favourite for locals who head to Bracks Bridge near Goughs Bay, Piries, or Merrijig and the natural pool at Mirimbah (pictured).

Lake Eildon or Lake Nillahcootie are only a short drive away and are the perfect spot for boating, sailing and relaxing by the water.

Swimming Pool:

The Mansfield Pool is open every day in summer and occasionally offers special events for kids on hot weekends. Keep an eye out for ‘Night Swims’ and ‘dive in movies’, or try out the free BBQ facilities.
